Basic Buttermilk Syrup and Cinnamon French Toast

This post is mostly for my teenagers who love French toast but always forget how to make it! 😄 This morning we used a loaf of the Kneaders Cinnamon bread, which we cut into 14 slices. I will post my own homemade Cinnamon bread later 😋 Then we made delicious Buttermilk Syrup to go on top. For the Syrup you need sugar, butter, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla. In a large saucepan on medium high heat add the butter, buttermilk, baking soda and sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minuteRemove from heat and add the vanillaFor the French toast, we used 8 eggs, 2/3 cup milk, and 1 T cinnamon. You can also add vanilla if you’d like. We sliced the loaf into 14 slices.Whisk the mixture in a medium size bowl Then dip each slice into the mixture and cook on a griddle. Till golden brown on both sides. Then serve and enjoy!
